Kansas City Weekend

This weekend we went to KC to get away and to do a little shopping (and eating.) The girls did great. Amari slept very well in the hotel and Ava didn't have too many meltdowns. Ava and Donnie were able to do a little swimming (it was too cold for mom and Amari) and Mommy and daddy were able to take advantage of the Managers reception (free drinks and snacks). The Legends mall was awesome well worth the trip. It's right next to the Great Wolf lodge and the NE furniture mart. We also spent some time at Union Station which was really neat. The next road trip we take will be a bit longer. Colorado here we come!

Tree killer

I'm going to need a little help with my Karma, today we cut down our 50+ foot Ponderosa Pine tree.  It was half dead but the guilt is still there.  We will replant.  I don't know what, something pretty that won't get too tall.  I hope we can make up for this one!
