Today, little did we know, was family fun day at the Joslyn Museum. We were able to see the new impressionist exhibit and do some fun crafts (along with 8 million other people). Good times had by all.

Great minds think alike

Here is a shot of our freshly painted basement wall and a section of wall that will soon be torn out. As you can see the previous owners also liked Tiffany Blue...

Tiffany Blue?

So we went to Lowes to pick out the paint color for the basement (AKA Ava's playroom) I choose several an Ava made the final choice. After two coats of paint Donnie figured out why we liked the color so much. It’s clearly Tiffany Blue. I love it.

Endless Summer?

This week marked the beginning of my new shift at work. 4pm –midnight. Working this shift gives me oodles of Ava time, very little Donnie time and even less me time. SO with that said Ava and I are trying to plan loads of things to do this summer so we don’t get bored or irritated with each other. Yesterday we made a list of things to do and crossed them off as we did them. 5 out of 8 ain’t bad, granted the list included “wake up, eat breakfast, get dressed, go to the mall, play, etc…” It seemed to work well for us we really felt like we accomplished something. Here are a few pictures chronicling our day. Enjoy. Oh on the list for tomorrow. The library, Toys R Us, The never ending search for shoes and maybe Bed Bath & Beyond I don’t know, I don’t know if we will have enough time!

Here are a few shots of the basement (AKA Ava's playroom) mid remodel. I must say it's going very well so far injuries aside (you will have to ask Donnie why he drilled his own hand). Donnie has done 96% of the work all by himself and I am very pleased. Next up the KITCHEN!!! Basement "after photos" coming soon.

Ava's Portraits

This is Ava at 6 months. Chubbers!


This is Ava's first portrait. She was so mad she fell asleep. She was one month old.

Well during the bilzzard we decided to paint Ava's room and make it more of a big girl room. So after numerous coats of primer and pink paint we finally finish... Ava wakes from her nap and burst into tears. I don't like my pink room! Wow not the reaction I was expecting. By the time we moved in the new rug and rearranged her furniture she seemed to warm up a little bit to it. I still have a lot to do but the dirty work is now done. I'm sure she will learn to love it???
